With as many as 40 volunteer opportunities available during each game day of our 10-week seasons, there are many ways to get involved. Most of our game-day volunteer opportunities are in serving as a Buddy—those who assist and protect athletes throughout the game–but we also need people to help coach league teams, serve as umpires, announce games, operate the scoreboard and more.
Buddies are Miracle League’s “Angels in the Outfield” and they are one of the most important volunteers during game day. Buddy stand for Because Unbelievable Dedication Deserves YOU!
A Buddy helps and assists each player during games to ensure they remain safe and have fun.
Being a Buddy is a rewarding volunteer experience. Buddies and players alike have fun and learn valuable skills like compassion and understanding. We ask that you be enthusiastic, your player’s biggest supporter and remember that safety is always the top priority.
